The Project:
Technology life cycles are an important of any business that handles clients worldwide as there is no room for data loss or downtime. The company’s infrastructure servers were approaching end-of-life and end-of-warranty. To maintain the integrity of the associated network it was deemed time for an upgrade for both a physical server migration, as well as virtual servers for redundancy and backup for additional services. Upon completion of the network assessment Axxys proposed replacing the aging servers with new HP servers in combination with new management software.
The HP Proliant Gen9 servers provides them with plenty of resources for a complete migration, VMware virtual servers, an upgrade to Windows Server 2012 R2, and a new maintenance contract and warranty from the vendor.
